4.5 stars Roman. Oh my. I didn't know what to think at first. There was a lot of information given up front and I knew that I needed to pay attention to the details which is why it too me a while to get into it. Roman didn't win me over right away because the details about him were a bit hazy. I needed to figure out what his deal was but then as things started to unravel I couldn't put it down. Wow! We all know that Danielle is one of my faves. Each book she turns up the heat just a little more. I can't wait to see what's next. An auto-buy author for me!
Wow! This series is my favorite of Ella Dominguez's work, hands down. There was so much depth and development that it was easy to get lost in this dark world of lust, lies, and finally liberation. I was so set to hate Victor and trust me, there are a million reason to justify it. He is also his own worst enemy. I loved his transformation, I didn't think it was possible to like him and hope for his redemption but, yeah, I did. He is going down in history as one of my favorite irresistible jerk. Elsa also grew as a person and I was finally able to understand why she was so drawn to Victor and even Mr. Black a little. A real mindf*ck of a story and a must read series!
Gah, I really wanted to five star this book up because I've loved everything that Angela Graham and SE Hall have written together but I just had issues with the way this one ended. I remembered Zach from SE Hall's Emerge series. The whole thing was too much of a "hit it and quit it" for me. Something that doesn't seem like Zach in my opinion. Maybe there's more on the way to reconcile that but either way it was a smoking hot read.
My love for this series gets stronger with every book. When I first heard that there would be a fifth book, I thought "Do we really need it?" The answer is: Yes. Beyond the Consequences allow us see at how things have progressed with Clare and Tony and how life can be full of happiness for them. Yes, even Tony Rawlings deserves an HEA. I will never say that another book is not needed. Do your thing, Aleatha! She cleverly left something things open to explore in the future and I'm happy to continue the journey should there be more.
4.5 stars! Wow! I was hooked immediately. Abby was able to give justice to a delicate topic without having it overshadow the entire story. Well done. I loved the character development. I loved, loved. loved Daws in this book. I wasn't sure about him in Wreck You but she converted me. This book also allowed us to spend more time with the MC. I look forward to getting the know them. All I kept thinking was poor Skaggs! Lol! I'm also curious about Carlo and the rest of his family. Can't wait to see what else she has in store for us! There was lots of emotion and enough steam to fog up the windows in your house. ;) My only tiny hitch is that I think things between Aubrey and Daws went a little too fast and I wanted to it stretch a little more but at the same time I loved the two of them together. Either way, worth the read!
3.5- 4 stars Hot! All of it! There were some really awesome elements to this story! Every interaction between Sam and Ellen was AMAZING! I don't think I breathed the whole time during the first scene in Sam's apartment. I loved that it was a kinky short story with clues of a possible sequel that involves a club!
4.5 stars! A great conclusion to Promises Hurt, which left us with a doozy of a cliffhanger. I'm glad that we were able to see what happens next for Ethan and Blair. This is the type of story that will give you the feels in all kinds of way. There were warm and fuzzy times, times where Ethan made my heart pound and times where my heart broke for both of them. I hated the abuse Ethan suffered from his dad. A tough thing to make peace with and to move on from in order to become a decent and productive person. It was a very well written story full of emotions. I liked the first book a little better. It took me several tries to get into to this one at the beginning but once it picked up it was fantastic! A good read!
Wow! An amazing story. It was beautiful and unforgettable in a be prepared-to-ugly-cry and yell-why-oh-why-is-this- happening kind of way.
I am quite impressed. I don't recall this level of hotness being in any of CH's books before. I like it! I like it that other way too but this was even better. Loved Warren! What an irresistible jerk! Bridgette reminds me of many girls I know, all tough on the outside but really awesome once you breakdown the barriers. This will not disappoint :)
10 stars! Yaaaassss! I have been waiting all year for a book with this level of fuckedupness. Just awesomess. I can't even stand it. Fan-freaking-tastic. I was entertained. Was it perfect, no...but that's why I liked it. It had a raw honesty to it. I have massive love for this story and it's going to stick with me a while.
